At GeppyAi, we believe that your data belongs to you, not us. While most modern apps take your information and store it in their own "black box" clouds, we’ve taken a different path. We use a "Local-First" architecture.
Think back to the days of classic desktop software. When you wrote a document, you saved a file. If you wanted that file on another computer, you moved it yourself. We’ve brought that level of ownership back to the AI universe using a simple Backup & Restore system.
No Hidden Storage: We don't keep a secret copy of your work on our servers.
Sovereign Data: You are the gatekeeper. Your data isn't transferred or moved unless you do it.
Total Responsibility: This is the easiest way for me, as a solo creator, to ensure your privacy—I simply don't take your data in the first place.
Since GeppyAi doesn't "auto-sync" to our private servers, you manage your projects using the Backup and Restore functions found within the apps.
Backup Your Work: When you’re finished with a session, use the Backup feature. This creates a file containing all your progress.
Move It: To use your work on another computer, simply save that backup file to your preferred Cloud Drive (like Google Drive, Dropbox, or Proton Drive) or a thumb drive.
Restore Your Session: On your second device, open the GeppyAi app and use the Restore feature to upload your file. You’re right back where you left off.
By putting you in charge of your own backups:
Privacy is Guaranteed: I can’t leak what I don’t have.
No Data Mining: Your work is never used to "train" models behind your back.
Peace of Mind: You have a physical copy of your work. Even if the internet goes down, your data is safe on your machine.
Bottom Line: GeppyAi provides the engine, but you own the car. You are responsible for your data, and that’s exactly how it should be.
